Paging Systems
It’s all about being heard, no matter the environment
Paging systems notify your staff, customers, or students with speed. For general announcements or emergencies, sometimes just picking up a handset is the easiest way to get your message heard.
Analog Paging
Analog systems are the legacy way of distributing audio throughout a facility
Many speakers can be connected to one amplifier, or zoned into multiple areas with multiple amplifiers
A transformer at the amplifier steps up the voltage, allowing very long cable runs with lower losses
A second transformer integrated into each speaker steps down the voltage to a useable amount
Relative volume between speakers is set at the time of installation
Global volume is adjusted at the amplifier, and zones can also have local volume attenuators
Voice, background music, and bell or alert tones are often broadcasted to the entire facility at once
Networked Paging (a.k.a. VOIP paging, IP based paging):
Infinitely scalable without re-wiring or adding amplifiers and distributing the audio signal between them
Speakers connect to a network switch using standard category network cabling, and are powered by POE
Integrate with existing networks
Centralized management - control volume, bells, schedules, all from a web browser
Zone multiple paging end points together in infinite combinations - First Floor, Second Floor, Admin Area, Shipping Dock, etc.
Page specific rooms, like classrooms, without broadcasting to the entire facility
Initiate a page from any desk phone, from a cell phone, or from dedicated base stations
Unify the paging system with your Area of Refuge (AOR), mass notification system, or school bell system
